REV11 Delivers Standout Performance

Design Finalist, Two Sponsor Awards, And A Return To Endurance

At this year’s FSAE EV competition in Brooklyn, MI, Penn Electric Racing placed 15th overall out of 108 teams. Highlights include achieving Design Finalist recognition (6th overall, highest among Ivy League teams), 1st place in the Cummins Inc. Sustainable Power and Performance Excellence Award, 1st place in the General Motors Excellence in Technical Innovation Award, and 1st place in Business Presentation.

Competition was not without setbacks. During the final days, the team worked through technical challenges in real time to recover the car and continue competing. The team went on to run acceleration for the first time since REV3, placing among the highest of rear-wheel drive cars, and completed endurance for the first time since REV5.

The team is now turning its attention to REV12, which will pursue a four-wheel-drive architecture, a monumental transition for PER.
